The Mombasa Tote is built for real carrying. Its proportions come from movement — market days, travel days, family days — when one bag must hold everything without losing composure.

Handwoven sisal forms a structured body that stands on its own while remaining light in the hand. The weave is tight and even, allowing the surface to age gradually rather than wear out. Over time it softens in tone, not in strength.

Rift Leather finishes the piece with wide vegetable-tanned straps, cut thick and left unlined so the leather develops a natural patina. The handles are anchored through reinforced patches and solid rivets, distributing weight across the basket rather than pulling at a single point. A central vertical strap secures the form and carries the PAM YO! mark — not decoration, but structure.

This is a daily transport bag: clothing, groceries, laptops, towels, children’s things. It is intentionally large so that you stop negotiating with capacity.

Materials
• Handwoven Kenyan sisal
• Vegetable-tanned leather by Rift Leather
• Solid brass rivets

Carry
Shoulder carry or hand carry. Wide straps reduce pressure when fully loaded.

Care
Sisal is a natural fibre and should be kept dry where possible. If wet, air-dry fully before storage. Brush gently to remove dust. Do not machine wash.
Leather will darken and soften with use; occasional neutral leather balm may be applied if desired.

Made slowly in Kenya. Built to be used daily, not occasionally.
